Do I need to register for VAT?
A business must register when its taxable supplies exceed Rs. 15 million in a quarter or Rs. 60 million over 12 months, or when there are reasonable grounds to expect it will. A business below those amounts can apply to register voluntarily.
A business may also pay the Social Security Contribution Levy (SSCL) at 2.5% of its liable turnover. This calculator does not work it out.
