Rates for 2026/2027
For the year of assessment 2026/2027, 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The Inland Revenue Department has not issued new tables, and its APIT tables index says the 2025/2026 tables apply "for every subsequent years of assessment unless other tables are specified".
The first Rs. 1,800,000 of income each year is the personal relief, on which no tax is paid. The rest is taxable income, taxed in bands:
| Taxable income | Rate |
|---|---|
| First Rs. 1,000,000 | 6% |
| Next Rs. 500,000 | 18% |
| Next Rs. 500,000 | 24% |
| Next Rs. 500,000 | 30% |
| The balance | 36% |
The calculator covers income taxed at the normal rates, such as employment and business income, after the personal relief. Investment asset gains, terminal benefits and some foreign income are taxed differently, and other reliefs are not included.
